Parenting Plans: Building a Clear, Child-Focused Plan Together
These one-on-one appointments are designed to help parents (together or separately) create a clear, age-appropriate parenting plan that works for both households—and most importantly, supports the needs of your child.
During your session, we’ll guide you through:
-
Creating a consistent schedule (daily routines, holidays, vacations)
-
Decision-making responsibilities (education, healthcare, etc.)
-
Communication agreements between co-parents
-
Guidelines for transitions between homes
-
How to update the plan as your child grows
Whether you’re just starting out or need to revise an existing plan, we’ll help you build a parenting agreement that reduces confusion, minimizes conflict, and puts your child’s stability first.
Appointments are private, supportive, and solution-focused. Written documentation is provided for your records or to submit to the court if needed.
All parties are encouraged to attend together whenever it is practical to do so. Separate classes for each party may result in additional scheduling fees and is typically not as productive. Additional scheduling fees are discounted in the event of a protective order.
It is recommended to schedule as many sessions as needed and for each session to be 3 to 7 days apart. Consider having a review session twice per year to ensure the plan is still effective, equitable, and fair.
